On-Line Written Learner's Permit Tests

Livonia High School Participates in the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle's on-line written test program for the learner's permit.  This program allows students to receive study materials for and complete the written portion of the permit process here in school during their free periods.  For information, students should see
Mrs. Snyder in the High School Computer Lab.

Driver's Education

Livonia offers driver's education during the summer.  Students who are interested in participating need to submit a completed application including $50 deposit by April 1 (Note: Extended until May 1, 2008).  The course typically costs $250-$300. Our Driver's Education Program has a limited number of slots available.  Participation will be determined through a lottery of all completed applications with deposit after April 1st.  Students must be 16 by July 1st to participate.

Successful completion of the program is dependent on attendance at all class sessions and driving sessions.  Students who are taking a vacation, enrolling in summer school, have work conflicts or any other situation that would prevent attendance at all classes will not be eligible for course credit and should not enroll.

Students will be notified of their class and section enrollment after the April 1st deadline.  The lottery is open first to district residents but non-district residents are welcome and encouraged to apply as open slots remaining will filled by non-district students.  After April 1, any available slot will be registered on a first come, first serve basis irregardless of district residency.  If you have any questions, please call or e-mail Char Korndoerfer, Secretary to the Assistant Principal at 346-4000 ext 1058.
