Mrs. Lanpheare

Hi! My name is Mrs. Lanpheare, and this is my third year working at Livonia Elementary. I am often referred to as "The teacher who takes spirit days too far." I currently reside in Victor with my husband, great-grandmother, and 3 out of 4 of our children. My oldest son, Zeke is in the Navy and lives in Spain. My oldest daughter, Adrianna, is 16 and just started driving. RJ is my youngest son, and he's 14. He loves swimming. My youngest child, Sydney, is in 5th grade and excited for summer. We have furry family members as well. There are our two doggies, Dakota and Winston. That's not all! We have two cats, Rocky and Pawz. Our house if full of love and laughter, and lots of talk about school.  To many of my students, school is my life. That being said, I do love to spend time with my family. Some of my favorite things to do are visiting the beach, singing, taking photographs, hiking, and playing board games. I grew up wanting to be a teacher, and married a Navy sailor, so my plans were put off to have kiddos. I love being a bulldog and wear my blue and orange with pride. Just don't travel to Victor or you might see me dressed as a Blue Devil in blue and yellow.

As a teacher, I weave music, movement, and creativity into as many lessons as possible. I believe that music lives and speaks to all people of all ability levels. I also believe that movement is necessary to help children learn. You will find floor rockers, bean bag chairs, a teepee, bouncy chairs, and a bearded dragon, named Dumbledore who learns with us on a daily basis. My joy of singing motivates me to use raps and songs to help students memorize information.

With just a few weeks left in the school year, the memories are all collecting and making me sad. I look forward to meeting my new students next year. Let's hope they are ready for me!
