Additional Updates
-
Daily Start Time – Students must be in class by 7:30 AM. Timeliness to school is critical and we appreciate your attention and support in this matter.
-
Parent Drop Off and Pick Up Location: Parent drop off and pick up locations remain unchanged from previous years and will be located at the old main entrance. If a student is tardy to school and arrive after 7:40, they must now enter in the new main entrance.
-
Parking Permits – Students must apply and qualify (application). Students already approved last year do not need to reapply.
-
Student Schedules – Available in SchoolTool starting tomorrow, August 12th. Contact your counselor with questions.
-
Senior Release – Seniors with Study Hall in Block 1 and/or Block 4 may qualify. Please submit this senior release form and Ms. Hugg will contact you.
-
ParentSquare – Our communication platform. See this tip sheet or visit our website for sign-up instructions.
Cell Phone and Device Policy (Grades 6-12)
In accordance with NYS law, cell phones, smart watches, personal laptops, and any internet-enabled personal devices are not permitted during school hours (7:40 AM–2:06 PM). Key points:
-
Devices must be turned off and stored in a locker or backpack.
-
Devices may not be used anywhere on school grounds during the day.
-
To contact your child, call the main office at 585-346-4000 x1000. Students will also have the ability to contact home for urgent matters at appropriate times from phones located in each classroom and/or any of the offices throughout the building.
-
If a device is out during the day, it will be confiscated and may require parent pickup.
I understand the mixed feelings about this new law, but I believe limiting device access during the day is in our students’ best interest. Thank you for partnering with us to make this successful.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and please reach out to me directly at 585-346-4000 x1001 with any questions.
With Bulldog Pride,
Michael Calzi
