COVID-19 Response – Family & Community Update (7/28/21)

Hope your summer is going great with lots of opportunities to enjoy some of the best days of the year in our area. We’ve been monitoring health conditions, policy decisions, and had hoped that we’d receive guidance from NYSDOH or NYSED by this time, but we have yet to get updates for what requirements we will need to implement to start the school year. With that in mind, the main message for this update is (1) we will be open for 5 days/week learning in September, and (2) we are currently planning to follow the health requirements and protocols we had in place when we ended the year in June. I do anticipate updated guidance but when that will come our way is uncertain at this time. We will keep you updated with updates on Aug 11 and Aug 25, as well as additional information coming from buildings in the coming weeks. When we receive updated guidance we will also schedule additional forums and opportunities for everyone to learn and understand where things stand.
