COVID-19 MASK CHOICE Policy Change Update 3/1/22
As we communicated on Sunday, with the NYS Department of Health and NYS Education Department change to remove the universal mask mandate starting tomorrow, March 2, 20022, we will be immediately implementing that policy change in Livonia CSD. We received official updated guidance this evening shortly after 7 pm and can now confirm that starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2 students, staff, and visitors to our campus may choose to wear a mask or not wear a mask. This change also pertains to any student or staff being transported on one of our buses. It is important to note that each family will be supported in their very personal decision to determine when it is most appropriate for their circumstances to either continue wearing a mask or choose to not wear a mask. As we've hopefully all come to realize during the pandemic, each and every family deserves our support to make the decisions they deem best for their personal circumstances. Some families may decide to mask at times or within certain settings, while some may not choose to mask at all. Any decision will be supported and honored starting tomorrow, March 2.
