Wrapping up our fantastic concert program was the 5th Grade Band and Chorus! What a great performance by our talented 5th graders! The band ended their set with the crowd favorite "Shadow Fire," and the chorus's final song, "Have it All," featured three amazing groups of students. 🎷🎤

After an amazing start by the 3rd Grade Chorus, the 4th Grade Chorus and Band took the stage and wowed us all! The band played three fantastic songs, including their favorite, "Zombie Stomp," while the chorus sang four beautiful songs, ending with a heartwarming rendition of "Count on Me." 🎺🎤

Fifth graders in the Newspaper Club had their last meeting for the year yesterday! They published their final edition of the school newspaper and created a sidewalk chalk newspaper for students in the bus loop. This year’s fifth graders created four editions of the newspaper which included school events and information, poems, riddles, word searches, facts about holidays, recipes, cartoons, and color-by-number drawings. Thank you to the Newspaper Club members for all their hard work this year.
Monday was National Meditation Day! 🧘🏼♂️ Mrs. Jones's students described meditation as calming, feeling "not energized", relaxed and safe. Breathing, visualization, tapping into other senses, and being present helped them to feel grounded and ready for the rest of their day!

On Friday, Ms. Forsythe's 3rd-grade class delighted their 1st-grade buddies in Mrs. Reitz's class with a performance of the Cherokee trickster tale "Possum's Tale." The story, which is part of the Making Meaning Program, narrates how Possum was outwitted and lost his beautiful, furry tail.

🎓👮🚨Livonia 5th graders participated in D.A.R.E. graduation this morning!
They were celebrated by several members of the Livingston County Sheriff's Office and Mayor Genthner for completing the program! These students spent the last few months with Deputy Morganne Harrington and were educated on several key topics such as responsibility, facts and health effects of Alcohol and Tobacco, risks and consequences, peer pressure, effective communication, helping others, and many more!
A big shout-out to our Livonia essay winners: Hayden, Mesa, Phoenix and Cooper!
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) was founded in 1983 and has been implemented in thousands of schools throughout the United States and 50+ other countries. D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teach students how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.
Congratulations to all of the D.A.R.E. graduates and thank you for all of your hard work!

🌟👩🔬 Fun-Filled Science Day for Mrs. Carman's PreK Class! 👨🔬🌟
Mrs. Carman's PreK students had a fascinating afternoon at the MHS, diving into the wonders of science with Mrs. Mallaber! Their smiles say it all as they were captivated by her magical and fun science experiments from rainbow solutions, to genies in a bottle, to exploding packets, to slime. 🧪✨
A big thank you to Mrs. Mallaber and her helpers for inspiring our little scientists and making learning so much fun! 🧠
