The Academic Challenge Bowl team had its playoff tournament on Wednesday night at Eastridge HS. In the first game, the team had a strong second half to pull away from Webster Spry in a 255-120 win. In the next match, Livonia needed to win control of the last question to force a tie and send the game to OT. Unfortunately, Canandaigua answered correctly, and Livonia was eliminated. It was a great season. Look for the 8th graders to move up to MasterMinds in the fall, while the 6th and 7th graders form a great core for the next season of ACB. Top scorers for the night were Ellie D (90 points), Miranda B (20 points), and Owen A, Matthew P, and Hannah W (10 points each). We’ll officially close the season soon with the annual ice cream sundae party!
Reminder: Today is the registration deadline for the June 4th SAT. Also, June 4th is the day after the prom and the first day of the APUSH trip.

Unfortunately, Hilton defeated the team 225-70 to officially end the year. It’s been a fantastic season with multiple seniors who have participated since ACB in middle school. Top scorers for the night were Lillian J. (80 points), Jacob D. (70 points), and Austin L., Sam H., and freshman phenom Thomas C. (10 points each). All that’s left is the celebratory ice-cream sundae party!
