Students practiced their measuring skills with graduated cylinders, mixing colors to create vibrant test tube rainbows. Their hard work paid off with some well-earned enrichment time hanging out with the classroom geckos! 🦎💚 Science + fun = a great day in Livonia! 💙🧡

The Middle/High School had its 24-25 Opening Ceremony on Friday led by the HS Student Council. The 6th Graders walked through the seniors before entering the auditorium https://youtu.be/RYdKaHizIec and the seniors entered last to their Senior Song "Breaking Free". Livonia Live sang the National Anthem, new staff was welcomed, Dr. Calzi shared words of advice for each grade level, and everyone sang "Dear Livonia" before dismissal.

Whether it’s ancient civilizations or modern events, these teachers are always digging deep into the past to help our students build a brighter future! 📚✨

🍎 Reminder! Breakfast and lunch are FREE for ALL students, Pre-K through 12th grade, every day—no sign-up or applications needed! 🥞 In the Middle/High School, breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 7:00-7:35 AM, offering a variety of entrée options. 🥯 In the Elementary School, breakfast is available in the cafeteria or at a mobile cart near the 4/5 hallway from 8:15-8:45 AM. Pre-K and Kindergarten students also have breakfast bags delivered to their classrooms during this time for easy access. All meals are 🥗 healthy and nutritious, meeting USDA guidelines for whole grains, fruits, vegetables, milk, and protein. We encourage all students to start their day with a nutritious meal! 🍽️

Mrs. Szczepanik's 7th-grade social science classes took a meaningful walk to the Livonia Fire House on 9/11 to visit the monument and honor the day’s significance.

🚌 Bus Safety Drill Alert! 🧡💙 This morning, our students participated in an important bus safety drill, practicing how to safely unload using the back of the bus. Safety is a top priority, and these drills help prepare students to react calmly and confidently in case of an emergency. Our drivers were on hand to guide and assist, ensuring everyone knew the proper procedures. Regular practice of these safety drills is key to keeping our Bulldogs safe on the road! 🚍

Fly the United States Flags at Half-Staff on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 Patriot Day 2024 Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 marks the 23 year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed in suburban Pennsylvania. Patriot Day serves as a remembrance of the lives lost on that September morning. By a joint resolution approved 12/18/2001, (Public Law 107-89) has designated September 11th of each year as "Patriot Day" which also directs the flags be lowered to half-staff for the entire day on September 11.

🎶👏 Congratulations to these outstanding students from Livonia who will represent our school in the NYSSMA Area All-State Mixed Chorus this November! These talented individuals earned their spots through exceptional performances in their All-State solos last May. They will join top students from the Greater Rochester area for a weekend of rigorous rehearsals and performances. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication, especially considering the competitive nature of this event and the size of the schools they were up against.
