Time was spent reminiscing about HS athletic careers, highlighting achievements, and sharing testimonies of the impactful lives our inductees have led or are still leading. Weekend Wrap-up šŸˆ The Varsity football team hosted East Rochester-Gananda this past Saturday for Livonia's Homecoming weekend. The Bulldogs looked to get back in the win column on a beautiful day at Saunders Field, in front of a spirited student body and Livonia's band. The boys fought hard in front of the home crowd but ultimately fell short 38-7 against a talented East Rochester team. Livonia's defense played hard in the first half but gave up a Touchdown in each of the 1st 2 quarters and went into halftime trailing 16-0. East Rochester received the 2nd half kickoff to open the 3rd quarter and struck quickly and on the 2nd play from scrimmage, found the end zone to take a a 24 - 0 lead. ER would score again in the 3rd quarter and once more in the 4th quarter before the Bulldogs put up a score. A 15-yard run by Sr. Owen Wetterings and the point after kick by Levi Woolston late in the 4th quarter would make it 38 - 7, which would be the final score. The Bulldogs were led on offense by Owen Wetterings who ran for 76 tough yards and by Kyle Wetterings who would add 55 yards on the ground. The Bulldog defense was led by Owen Wetterings who had 11 tackles, AJ Peri who had 7 tackles while Jared Bishop chipped in with 5 tackles and 1 sack. The Bulldogs travel to Attica on Friday night for a 7pm start. šŸƒThe Varsity Cross Country team had a great weekend at the McQuaid Invitational. Alaina Turek led the girls team with a personal best, followed by Nica Bailey and Sarah Costik. In the Varsity Boys race Matt Mulvaney led the way with a personal best time, placing 83rd out of almost 500 runners. He was followed by Silas Meadows, Aiden Brown, Ryan Bosch, and Hunter Otis. With a 1-0 halftime lead, the Bulldogs poured it on in the second half and ran out 5-0 winners. Connor Feehan, Austin Francis, Brady Oā€™Keefe, Colin Ullock, and Christian Roller were the 5 different scorers. James Spezzano (2) and Nick Coyle provided assists. Gavin Woolston and Kaidan Oā€™Connor combined for the shutout. ā€œMan of the Matchā€ was Keegan Dennis. The Boys host Dansville on Tuesday at 6:40 for Senior Night. āš½The JV boys soccer team survived a tough matchup against Way-Co 3-2. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Gavyn Phillips (2) and Grant Francis (PK). Assists were made by Grant Francis and Lincoln Richardson. The Bulldogs improve to 11-0 with a league matchup against Dansville and non-league Aquinas this week. The girls team placed twelve out of 69 teams in the small girls modified race. The Bulldogs were led by Natalie Genther 25th (medal) place finish followed by Madelyn Mulvaney 87th (ribbon), Lorelei McGrath (114th), Anya Finnochario (160th), and Annabelle Reynolds (162nd). The race had 247 finishers. Awesome job, ladies! The boys team finished 20th out of 72 teams. Nathan Palotti led the team with a 29th (medal) place finish followed by Menzo Peck (152nd), Finn Cole (175th), Tytus Jarzyna (183rd), Aiden Schibley (299th), Grayson Meyer (309th), Cireno Meadows (310th) and Max Matthanhasak (lost chip). Lanechain swimmer of the meet was Gracie E who had her best times in the 50 free and 100 backstroke. We also celebrate our seniors: Megan C, Grace D, Gracie E, Audrey d, Emma O, Julie R, and Lucy S. āš½The girls came back at Dansville from their 2-0 loss and tied 1-1 in double overtime Thursday night. Avery Bernard had another spectacular goal off a direct kick. Defender Kiera Wilson and midfielder Sophie Otis both played their hardest. šŸThe lady bulldogs remain undefeated in their league with a 3-set win over Way-Coh tonight. It was a back-and-forth game. The girls started out winning the first two sets 25-27 and 25-20. Hornell then came back and won the next two sets. The girls did not let this stop them and they worked hard to come back and win the final two sets of the game 25-16 and 25-17. Stella Molino, Anna Shaffer, and Alexis Sigley all served their way to 5 points each helping bring the team out on top. The girls take on Haverling at home on Tuesday. āš½Boys modified soccer traveled to Hornell Thursday night and came away with a 5-0 win. The Bulldogs put on a master class in passing and possession. Wednesday Night Wrap-up āš½The Boys Varsity Soccer team hosted Wellsville on Wednesday night and cruised to a 7-0 win. Austin Francis opened the scoring 29 seconds into the game, assisted by Charlie Roberts, and added two more first-half goals for the hat trick. Colin Ullock added two goals to reach 20 on the season. Brady Oā€™Keefe and Christian Roller with a banger rounded out the scoring. Tuesday Night Wrap-up šŸƒThe Livonia Varsity Cross Country team had a great race on Senior Night. In the girls race Alaina Turek led the way for the Livonia Team, followed by Nica Bailey and Sarah Costik. All 3 girls ran very fast times on a very tough course. Ryan Bosch led the way for the boys team placing 6th overall in a very fast boys race. He was followed by Matt Mulvaney, Silas Meadows, Aiden Brown, and Hunter Otis. Monday night wrap-up āš½Girls varsity soccer takes another win Monday night against Warsaw. Avery Bernard scored 2 goals off direct kicks outside the 18, Olivia Feehan curved one in off a corner kick and Defender Hayley Kuhn gave a power shot over the goalkeeper's head giving the girls a 4-0 win. Livoniaā€™s defense shut down Warsaw's offense giving them no opportunities to score. Show out Thursday night while the girls take on Dansville! āš½The Boys Varsity Soccer team hosted the North Rose Wolcott Cougars on Monday night and wasted no time taking charge. Keegan Dennis scored what turned out to be the match-winner on an assist from Ryan Matzek in the 8th minute. Austin Francis and Colin Ullock had two goals apiece. Shea Maxwell, Nick Coyle, and Jack TeBeau added single tallies. James Spezzano had three assists on the night, and Connor Feehan, Brady Oā€™Keefe, Austin Francis, and Nick Stetter had one assist apiece. Kaidan Oā€™Connor and Gavin Woolston combined for the shutout. ā€œMan of the Matchā€ honors were shared by Austin Francis and Shea Maxwell. Jacob Benitez scored once each on the ground and through the air with a 55 yd rushing TD and 40 yd TD reception from Jack Henry. Henry added 3 pass completions for 2pt conversions all to Benetiz and rushed one in on his own and added in a 87-yard Kickoff return for a touchdown also. Alex Crilly added 2 scores, a 50 yd reception from Henry and a 50-yard td run. Seth Eadie paved the way on the ground with 3 TD runs of 49, 20, and 55. Eadie also had a pick 6 from 72 yards for a score, a 38-yard punt return for a TD, and added a 2pt conversion run and 2pt reception to top it off. Trenten Gavlak added a two-point conversion to round out all the scoring. Defensively a host of Bulldogs including Connor Peters, Logan Pressler, Aaron Kime, and Jack Oliver held up a tough day for the opponent. Special teams standouts were Connor Peters, and Jacob Benitez who covered the kicks very well along with the other members of the special teams units.

šŸ’—The Livonia Cheerleaders participated in the Positively Pink in Pittsford Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday morning. The girls had a great time supporting local survivors and representing Livonia with pride. Donations raised went to Embrace Your Sisters, which is a local foundation that supports women and families in the Finger Lake area during their time of need after diagnosis with breast cancer.

Weekend Wrap-up āš½The Boys Varsity Soccer team hosted Hornell on Saturday night. Despite outshooting the Red Raiders 15-2, it took a late wonder goal from Connor Feehan to secure a crucial 1-0 victory. The Bulldog defense was stellar in keeping the high-scoring Red Raiders at bay, and left back Nick Coyle was the ā€œMan of the Matchā€. The Boys host North Rose Wolcott on Monday night in a non- league contest. 6:30 kickoff. Photos courtesy Meys Photography šŸˆThe Bulldogs Varsity football team traveled to Lyons on Friday night to take on the Lyons-Sodus Lions under the lights, looking to get back in the win column. The Bulldogs came into the game with some key injuries. In a hard-fought game, Livonia came out on the losing end 42-27. Lyons scored first and the Bulldogs got on the board in the first quarter with a Jared Bishop 10 yard TD run. The point after by Levi Woolston was good to tie the game at 7. Jackson Trubia would score from 3 yards out early in the second quarter to take a 13 - 7 lead but Lyons came back to even the score at 13 and would tack on 2 more scores before the half to take a 27 - 13 lead into halftime. Lyons would score twice more in the second half before Livonia answered with a 6 yard TD run by Owen Wetterings. On the ensuing kick-off, Levi Woolston would boot the ball to the goal line where an alert Owen Wetterings would pounce on the Lyons fumble in the end zone to add another quick score. Woolston's leg also helped the Bulldogs on the previous kickoff as he booted the ball into the end zone for a touchback. For the Bulldogs, Owen Wetterings finished the game with 83 yards on the ground and 2 Touchdowns. Kyle Wetterings contributed with 45 yards while Jared Bishop added 38 yards and a score. The Bulldogs defense was led by Jared Bishop who finished with 8 tackles. Austin Bratcher added 2 tackles and an Interception and Aveion Santiago contributed 5 tackles. The Bulldogs look to rebound next weekend as they face East Rochester-Gananda on Saturday at 1 pm for Homecoming Weekend. āš½Girls varsity played another long game against Hornell Friday night.
