Weekend Wrap-up 🥎 Modified softball played their first game of the season in Keshequa Friday night. While they did not win they had some good plays and hits at bat. Emily Lippert, Hailey Burke, Courtney Potts, Alexis Sigley and Catherine Mclaughlin all got hits. 🏌️ Varsity golf beat Hornell and Dansville at Old Hickory on Friday 166-238-224. Tommy Keysa had the low score with a 39. followed by Chas Doerflinger with a 40 and Nick Coyle with a 42. ⚾ Varsity baseball beat Wellsville 5-4 in 8 innings on Friday. Luke Fasso's 2-out single in the 7th inning tied the game at 4-4 to send it to extra innings. Tommy Stewart's single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th inning won it for the Bulldogs. Conner Benitez pitched 4 2/3 innings striking out 5 and allowing 4 hits. Connor Feehan pitched the final 3 1/3 innings to pick up the win allowing 1 hit and striking out 4. Conner Benitez had 2 hits to lead the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs move to 7-4 on the season. 🥍 The Mod-A Boys Lakers Lacrosse team won 16-2 against Batavia on Saturday! Scoring for the Lakers was Nikolai Hannah (4g, 6a), Will Schweitzer (3g), Brayden Arber (2g) Noah Rode (1g), Colin Molinari (1g), Kellan Schneider (1g), Jacob Kershner (1g), Rider VanZandt (1g), Kayden Sweet (1g), and Evan Fitz (1g). Ayden Szymanski had 3 saves on 3 shots (100sv%). Ayden Szymanski and Jacobis Alaimo both split time in net playing 2 quarters each. The Lakers are now 4-1 on the season and they play McQuaid on Tuesday at home! 🥍Boys varsity lacrosse played twice this week going 1-1 on the week for a combined record of 5 wins and 3 losses at the halfway point of the season. On Wed. the Lakers traveled to Bishop Kearney for their 5th victory of the season, a 16-7 victory. On Sat. The Lakers played 8-1 HFL and lost in a very close-fought 7-5 game with the Cougars. Jackson McEnerney led the Lakers in scoring this week with 8 goals and 3 assists, Max McEnerney had 5 goals and 3 assists, Christian Rumfola had 2 goals and 3 assists, Hunter Rumfola and Chris Thompson each had 2 goals, Joey Cinquino and AJ Peri each had a goal. Vs. Bishop Kearney sophomore goalie Colton Rose started and had 9 saves and a 57% save percentage. Matt Beachel started in goal vs HFL and had 13 saves and a 65% save percentage. The Lakers defense played stellar in both games as they have all year only given up 7.4 goals per game, while the offense is scoring at 9.5 goals per game clip. Defensive players Jon Crye, Mike Neckers, Austin Randolph, Matt. Beachel, Owen Weterrings, Ryan Matzek, and Travin Ellison have been key in shutting down opposing offenses. 🏃‍♂️ The Boys Varsity Track Team traveled to the Warsaw Invite on Saturday. Top finishers for the Boys were Brick Sass with 3rd place in the 400m Hurdles and 1st place in the 110m Hurdles. Aiden Brown finished 3rd in the 3200m. The Boys Varsity 4x200m Relay team of James Spezzano, Nick Stetter, Aveion Santiago, and Ryan Kelly Finished 2nd. All the boys did great on a very windy day. 🏃‍♀️ The Girls Varsity Track Team competed at the Warsaw Invite on Saturday. Top Finishers for the girls were Taila Bezerra took 3rd in the high jump. Blair Wallman placed 3rd in the long jump. Emily Foley placed 3rd in the pole vault. Wednesday Night Wrap-up 🥍 Boys varsity lacrosse beat Bishop Kearney 16-7. The first quarter was even with both teams scoring two goals, but the Lakers took off in the second quarter posting ten more to take a 12-3 lead at the halftime break. Things slowed down in the second as both teams scored one goal in the third and three goals in the last quarter. Leading the scoring for Livonia-Avon were Jackson McEnerney (5g-3a), Max McEnerney (3g-2a), Christian Rumfola (2g-3a), and Chris Thompson (2g). In the goal for Livonia-Avon was sophomore Colton Rose with 9s/7ga = 56% (48 mins). The Lakers are now 5-2 on the season! 🏌️‍♂️ Varsity Golf had their first loss of the season (5-1) to Pittsford Mendon (5-5) last night at the Mendon Country Club 216-195. Nick Coyle led the Bulldogs with a 42 followed closely by Chris Coyle and Zack Barnard with a 43. The low score of the night was Matt Carpentier of Pittsford Mendon who shot a one-under-par 34.

Tuesday Night Wrap-up 🏃‍♀️ The Girls Varsity Track Team traveled to Dansville last night and had some great performances. Taila Bezerra took 3rd in the 200m and won the high jump. Avery Bernard took 1st in the 100m Hurdles. Emily Foley finished 2nd in the 800m and the 1600m and won the pole vault. Alyssa Healy took 2nd in the triple jump. MacKenzie Laursen and Kaitlyn Keiffer took 1st and 2nd in the shot put. The girls swept the Disc throw with MacKenzie Laursen taking 3rd with her best throw of the year. Kaitlyn Keiffer taking 2nd, and Natalie Gause taking 1st with her best throw of the year. 🏃‍♂️ The Boys Varsity Track Team traveled to Dansville Tuesday night and had lots of great performances. Nick Stetter finished 2nd in the 100m and 200m. James Spezzano and Ryan Kelly finished 2nd and 3rd in the 400m running their fastest times of the year. Brick Sass and Ian Tatlock finished 1st and 3rd in the 110m Hurdles. Brick Sass also finished 2nd in the 400m Hurdles. Hunter Otis took 2nd in the 800m. Matt Mulvaney, Aiden Brown, and Silas Meadows swept the 1600m running their fastest times of the year. The 3 also swept the 3200m finishing all together. Aveion Santiago took 2nd in the long jump. Matt Zygadlo took 3rd in the triple jump. John Maus took 1st in high jump. TJ Gause took 3rd in shot put and 2nd in Disc with his best Disc throw of the year. Kallen Miller took 1st in the pole vault with his best jump of the year. 🏌️‍♂️ Varsity golf took down Haverling last night at Old Hick with a score of 165-204. Tommy Keysa and Nick Coyle tied for the win with 40s, and Chas Doerflinger took third with 41. 🎾 The varsity tennis team moved to 7-0 with a 5-0 win over Hornell. Charlie Roberts dominated at second singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win! The squad will be at Bath on Friday. 🎾 On Tuesday the modified tennis team started their season with a 7-0 defeat of Hornell. Caris Sicker, Leah Whittel and Morgan Fisher all won singles matches. Friday night the Livonia Varsity Track Team completed their annual Night of 1,000 PB&Js community service project. Sandwiches from the event were donated to both The Open Door Mission and Saint Joseph's House of Hospitality in Rochester. Extra peanut butter, jelly, and bread were donated to Sent By Ravens Food Pantry. As part of the event, Chris Scribani from The Open Door Mission spoke to the team. Also, a huge thank you to West's Shurfine, Wegmans, and Leisure's, as well as athletes and their families, for donating supplies for this project. Congrats to all members of the team on continuing to make a difference and help our community!

Weekend Wrap-up ⚾ Livonia varsity baseball beat Hornell 10-0 on Friday in 5 innings. Conner Benitez pitched 5 innings striking out 5 and walking none. Livonia scored 8 runs in the second inning on 4 hits and 3 errors by Hornell. Conner Benitez went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs . Jack Kearney went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Brady O'Keefe went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. The Bulldogs move to 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the league. 🥍 The Livonia/Avon girls Varsity lacrosse team tallied another win Saturday afternoon against Brockport. Working together, the Lady Lakers had six goal scorers, which made it harder for Brockport to defend a versatile attack. They were able to go into the second half with a 4 goal lead thanks to a big save made by Mia Martucio with 2 seconds left in the first half. Leading the Lakers on the circle was Maddie Whitford with 7 draw controls, with the help of Megan Carr (2) and Sidney Clickner (2). On the attacking end, Sid Clickner, Lila Meyers, Megan Carr, and Lily Rowe all put up two goals, while Lily Rowe led the team in assists with 2 for the game. On the defensive end, Catie Haugh helped the Lakers maintain possession of the ball by getting 4 caused turnovers and 3 ground balls. Mia Martucio was defending the net for the Lakers, making 9 saves while allowing 5 goals, which put her at a 64% save percentage for the matchup. Overall it was an impressive performance all across the field, and a complete team effort. The Lady Lakers are on the road Monday for a 5:30 game against Newark/Midlakes. Thursday Night Wrap Up 🥎 The JV softball team played Batavia Wednesday night losing a close game 8-6. Ava Cook had 10 strikeouts and added 2 hits at the plate. Molly Hitchcock added a triple. Madi Beach, Alexa Olsen, Tori Charlebois, Ellie Debolt, and Isabelle Parry all added a hit for the lady bulldogs. Thursday night the JV softball team lost a close game to Way-Coh 6-4. The Lady Bulldogs played a strong defense. Amelia Swift, Ellie Debolt and Tori Charlebois each had a put out from 3rd base. Booke Minery played a solid 2nd base and Ava Cook had 5 strikeouts for the Bulldogs. Wednesday Night Wrap-up 🏌️‍♂️ It might have been cold at Old Hick but the Bulldogs were on fire yesterday afternoon beating Way-Coh 243-166. Leading for the Bulldogs was Chris Coyle with a 39, Tommy Keysa with a 41 and Chas Doerflinger with a 42. Zach Barnard scored a 44, Ryan O'Duffy 46, and Rian De Wit with a 66. 🥍 The Lakers girls lacrosse team advanced to 2-2 with their 12-5 win over Bishop Kearney. After losing to BK by one both times in the 2022 season, the Lady Lakers were ready for another physical matchup for their home opener. It was a whole team win. The returning players knew what they were getting into, and stepped up to prepare the new members of the team going into the game. Working together, the team was able to assist 6 of their 12 goals. On top of that, there were seven different goal scorers, which contributed to playing as a unit on the offensive end. To ensure possession, Sidney Clickner led the team with 4 draw controls, followed by Megan Carr with 3 and Maddie Whitford with 2. Scoring for the Lakers was Megan Carr (3g), Maryn Gammon (3g, 1a), Maddie Whitford (2g, 1a), Sidney Clickner (1g), Lila Meyers (1g, 1a), Lily Rowe (1g, 3a) and Cami Rode (1g). Defensively, Maddie Whitford also led the team with 5 caused turnovers. Maddie also contributed immensely with her contribution of 8 ground balls, and Lila Meyers with 6 over the duration of the match-up. We saw a very impressive performance from the entire defense as a whole, which was led by goalie, Mia Martucio. Mia saved 14 of the 19 shots faced, only allowing 5 goals and performing at a 74% save percentage. The Lakers will be home again Saturday, April 22nd to face Brockport at 11:00Am. Mack started the game on the bump and went 4 innings. Ryan Bosch came in and pitched the final inning. The Bulldogs play Hornell on Saturday with an 11 am starting time.

The Boys came up short but considering the conditions still had some amazing performances. Nick Setter won the 100m, and came in 3rd in the 200m. In the goal for Livonia-Avon was senior Matt Beachel with 16s/10ga = 62% 🏌️‍♂️ It was a 36* snowy night at Brae-Burn, but that didn't stop the Bulldogs (scoring 163) from beating Dansville (234) and Hornell (220). Tommy Keysa took low score honors with a 36. Followed closely by Chas Doerflinger with a 41. Chris Coyle and Zach Barnard each scored a 43, and Ryan O'Duffy scored a 44. Monday Night Wrap-up ⚾ Varsity baseball beat York 7-6 Conner Benitez singled home Aidan O'Keefe in the bottom of the 7th for a 7-6 Bulldog walk-off win. Trailing 6-4 in the bottom of the 7th, after 3 walks and a hit batsman making the score 6-5, Connor Feehan would hit a sacrifice fly ball to tie the game at 6-6. Connor Feehan pitched 5 1/3 innings in relief allowing 4 hits striking out 9 and allowing 3 walks. Connor Benitez went 2-5 with a double and an RBI. Alex Benitez went 2-3 with a run and a RBI. The Bulldogs have won 4 in a row and move to 5-3 on the season ⚾ The JV baseball team beat York on Monday by a final score of 10-0 in 5 innings. Seth Eadie got the shutout win striking out 6 and only recording 1 walk. Eadie also scored 2 runs for the Bulldogs. Jacob Benitez had 2 hits with a double and single. Kaidan O’Connor had the walk-off 2 RBI single to put the Bulldogs up 10 after 5 innings, invoking the mercy rule. O’Connor was also 2-3 at the plate. The Bulldogs host HFL on Wednesday at 4:30pm. 🥎 The JV softball team improved their record to 3 and 3 by beating York last night 21 to 8. Ava Cook and Madi Beach led the Bulldogs with 2 hits each and Alexa Olsen added a homerun. Eleanor DeBolt, Lily Sharp and Amelia Swift each had a hit for the Bulldogs. Brooke Minery and Molly Hitchcock each played solid defense in the infield. Great job ladies! 🥎 On a chilly night in Livonia, the varsity softball team found a way to come up with a victory against York. It was a back-and-forth game until late in the game when the Bulldogs were able to plate 5 runs in the 6th inning and 4 runs in the 7th, thus preserving a win by the score of 14-9! Chloe Meys had a great showing on the bump striking 11 players in 7 innings. Highlights are below: Hitting - Gwen Strom went 2-4 with 1 run scored, 2 stolen bases, and 1 RBI Karly Lawton - went 2-4 with 3 runs scored, 1 stolen base, and 3 RBI Alex McKeel - went 2-3 with a triple, run scored, and 2 RBI Jessica Freese - had 2 RBIs at the plate Pitching Chloe Meys - Win/lost record is 2-3 for the season, 7 innings pitched, 11 k's, and gave up 8 hits. 🥍 Girls Varsity Lacrosse beat Wayne 9-4. Weekend Wrap-up 🎾It was an awesome weekend for the Bulldog tennis squad! ➡️On Friday the team defeated longtime sectional rival Pal-Mac 5-0. Freshman Trent Gavlak made his varsity debut and won his match 6-1, 6-2 at third singles! ➡️On Saturday the squad upset the class B defending sectional champion HFL 5-0! Mary Kwak won her match 6-2, 6-2 to seal the victory BUT Charlie Roberts had the most memorable victory as he won his match 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 - a TWO-Hour marathon! The Bulldogs are now 4-0 and travel to Dansville on Tuesday. GO Bulldogs! 🏌️‍♂️ Varsity Golf beat HFL at Lima Country Club on Friday 208-254. Chas Doerflinger was low scorer with a 38, followed by the Coyle Bros with 40s. Colin Bagley shot a 44 and Tommy Keysa and Zach Barnard tied with 46s. ⚾ Varsity Baseball beat up Way-Coh on Saturday 14-0. Conner Benitez pitched 6 innings allowing 3 hits while striking out 3 in a shortened 6-inning game. Brady O'Keefe went 3-3 with 3 runs scored including an HR. Kaitlyn Keiffer won the Disc 64'6. 🏃‍♂️ Boys Varsity Track defeated Avon 74-66. Brick Sass won the 400H with a time of 1:05.9. The boys swept the 100m 1st place was Nick Stetter 12.1 2nd place was James Spezzano 12.3 and 3rd place was Aveion Santiago 12.4. The boys swept the 3200m Aiden Brown finished 1st at 11:41.7, Matt Mulvaney 2nd 11:43.8, and Silas Meadows 3rd 11:52. Ian Tatlock took 3rd in the 800m 2:34.4. The 4x100m relay of Nick Stetter, Brick Sass, Ryan Kelly, and Aveion Santiago won with a time of 49.9. The boys also swept the 200m 1st place was Nick Setter 24.6, 2nd place was Aveion Santiago 25.1, and 3rd place was Brick Sass 25.7. James Spezzano won the 400m at 56.3, and Ryan Kelly took 3rd at 1:00.3. Brick Sass won the 110H at 16.9. Matt Mulvaney won the 1600m at 5:16.6 and Aiden Brown took 3rd at 5:26.5. Kallen Miller won the Pole Vault at 8'7. Aveion Santiago took 3rd in the long jump 17'4. Kallen Miller took 2nd in the triple jump at 35'9. Tj Gause took 2nd in shot put at 37'9 and Logan Bengier took 3rd at 32'7.5. Myles Jarzyna took 2nd in Disc 89'5 and Tom Frisbie took 3rd 86'1. The boys all had some great performances. ⚾ Varsity baseball beat Bath 9-1. Trailing 1-0 after 2 Livonia would tie the game at 1-1 on an RBI groundout by Connor Feehan scoring Aidan O'Keefe. In the top of the 4th, Livonia would plate 8 runs to take a commanding 9-1 lead. Connor Benitez would relieve Jack Kearney in the second and proceed to pitch 4 1/3 innings striking out 8 allowing 1 hit and walking none. Alex Benitez would pitch the final frame for Livonia. Alex would also go 3-4 with 3 RBI for the Bulldogs. Aidan O'keefe went 1-3 with 2 stolen bases. Livonia moves to 3-3 Boys Varsity Lacrosse beat Marcus Whitman 9-7. Wednesday Night Wrap-up ⚾Livonia varsity baseball beat Cal-Mum 21- 2. Livonia plated 18 runs in the first inning highlighted by a Jack Kearney 3 run HR and a Connor Feehan grand slam. Alex Benitez also connected on a 2 run HR in the first. Livonia had 15 hits in the first inning. Matt Bean pitched 4 innings allowing 2 hits while striking out 7 picking up his first Varsity win. Jack TeBeau went 3-3 and Kearney went 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Livonia moves to 2-3 ⚾ The JV baseball team bounced back from their home opening loss to Dansville (21-11) and defeated Cal-Mum on Wednesday by a score of 21-3. Brayden Amadeo had 2 doubles, scored 3 runs and pitched two scoreless innings for the Bulldogs. Seth Eadie had a single and double with two runs scored. Jacob Benitez had two hits and 3 runs scored, and Ryan Bosch had 3 hits and pitched the final 3 innings in the Bulldogs victory. The team travels to LeRoy on Thursday. 🏌️‍♂️ Varsity golf beat Greece Odyssey at Braemar 232 - 366. Nick Coyle was Livonia's low scorer with 41. Tuesday Night Wrap-up ⚾ Varsity baseball lost to Dansville 9-6. Trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Dansville would plate 5 runs to take a 7-5 and scored two more in the 7th. Conner Benitez went 2-4 for Livonia with 2 RBIs. Aidan O'Keefe went 2-2 with 3 stolen bases. Livonia falls to 1-3 🥎 Livonia varsity softball won a wild game on Tuesday night in Dansville by the score of 16-14. Livonia jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first, but Dansville battled back in the second inning to tie the game. The Bulldogs responded by adding 2 more in the third, while Dansville added a run in the bottom half of the inning. In the next 3 innings, Dansville tallied 8 more runs and Livonia only mustered up a single run to make the score 13-7 in Dansville's favor going into the final inning. Livonia never quit and found their bats in the top of the 7th inning. The Dawgs were able to get 6 singles and 2 doubles which translated into a 9 run inning giving them a 16-13 lead. The Mustangs threatened in the bottom of the 7th by scoring a run, but Alaina Turek. made a diving stab at a ground ball at second to seal the victory with a nice throw to first base. Pitching: Chloe Meys (1-1) 7 innings pitched, 6 Ks and 7 earned runs. Hitting: Alaina Turek - 4-5 with 3 runs scored and 3RBI Morgan Meys 1-2 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI Lillian Schnitzler 1-1 with a run scored and a beautiful bunt 🥎 The JV softball team beat Danville Tuesday 25-14. Alexa Olsen lead the team with 4 hits including a triple and 4 RBI's. Shelby Troisi, Kiara Gonzalez, Isabelle Parry and Molly Hitchcock all had hits for the lady bulldogs. Monday Night Wrap-up ⚾ Varsity Baseball lost to Lexington Christian, Kentucky 21 - 7 Connor Feehan went 2-4 for the Bulldogs including an inside-the-park home run. He also drove in 5 runs for the day. The Bulldogs committed 9 errors on the day, playing a field for the first time this season.
