๐๐ฏCongratulations to the Class of 2024 they are officially 100 days away from graduation! Students celebrated this afternoon with cake, watching a video of teacher messages, and signing a graduation gown as a commitment to finish the year and walk across the stage in June.
In honor of Pi Day, some of Mrs. Cotraccia's students made a pie with the best ingredients: algebra and calculus!

Our E3 students had a great day at RIT yesterday exploring engineering and technology. This year's event focused on students presenting and learning through the experience. We decided to have an in-school competition so congrats to our Livonia winners!
On Monday, March 18, 2024, phase 2 of the Capital Project will commence. The fields and sidewalk behind the field house will be closed until approximately December 2024. Please use the sidewalk on Bulldog Boulevard to walk between buildings.
Some of our Spring sports teams will be relocated during the construction.

Congratulations Kalllen M! Kallen was recognized by Senator Helming for the Youth Leadership Recognition Award. Senator Helming presented 24 outstanding juniors from 22 school districts with this honor at a ceremony on March 8.
The award program recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional leadership and achievement in academics, athletics, music, arts, and/or community service. Students were nominated by local educators and community members. The E3 Fair is here, and we couldn't be more proud of our budding engineers! ๐ ๏ธ Hosted annually by engineering societies and industries in Rochester, this half-day event is packed with student design contests and demos from engineering pros. It's all about igniting that spark of curiosity and passion for technology and engineering in middle school students. ๐ฅWhether they're showcasing their own projects or soaking up inspiration from industry experts, every moment at E3 is an opportunity for growth and discovery. ๐

๐ฆ๐ฟ๐Mrs. Potts adopted some Leopard Geckos for her classroom. They have yet to be named but they are getting along very well with the students. They are already helping with lessons about endothermic regulators vs exothermic regulators during Living Environment as well as enrichment in the classroom. ๐ง ๐
๐ The MHS Odyssey of the Mind teams went to Regionals this weekend and came in 2nd and 3rd place in their divisions. OM encourages divergent thinking to solve unique problems. OM emphasizes teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and so much more! Congrats to our MHS Divison II OM teams!
On Friday students in STEM 6 practiced engineering by planning and building marshmallow towers.
Mrs. Pierce sent in a shoutout for her phenomenal 7th-grade students who absolutely crushed their Linear Functions Assessment, an 8th-grade level topic! ๐๐ The pictured students scored a perfect ๐ฏ, making it the largest group to ace an assessment this year! She is beyond proud of their dedication and hard work. Each student received a full-size candy bar as a token of appreciation for their outstanding achievement.

Thanks to a partnership with The Nawari platform in Senegal, students got an exclusive glimpse into a clothing "boutique" in Dakar. ๐๏ธ They immersed themselves in the local culture, asked questions, and witnessed French language skills in action! ๐ฃ๏ธ๐ Stay tuned for more enriching cultural exchanges!

๐ถCongratulations to our MHS students who were selected to participate in All-County Festival III this weekend. Festival III includes Elem. Chorus (grades 5/6), and Sr. High Band (grades 10-12). Students are chosen from 12 area school districts. They will be performing tomorrow at Wayland-Cohocton the concert begins at 1:30pm. The concert is free and open to the public.
