
Beth Parker from Hunt EAS came this morning to speak to students who are interested in careers in architecture and interior design. Beth shared her career path and explained the difference between architecture and interior design, and the evolution of a project from concept to completion.
This opportunity was provided by our art department and the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Meyers took students to Innovative Field today for a Careers in Sports Day field trip. Students learned about opportunities to work in sports from a panel of speakers in a pre-game presentation.

Advice to freshmen - When people tell you that high school flies by and you don’t believe them, trust me they aren’t kidding. I swear I was a freshman just yesterday and now I’m a senior about to graduate.

National Decision Day for the Class of 2023 is Monday, May 1st. Seniors are invited to wear college or career gear or bring a sign that represents what their plans are after graduation. Staff and undergrads are also invited to wear their favorite college or career gear.

Advice to freshmen - Try to get involved as much as possible even if you don’t know if you’ll like it just try it you’ll make so many new friends doing this and have so much fun. Never let anyone tell you, you can’t do something as long as you put your mind to it you can do it. Don’t let your friends stop you from doing what you love just be yourself you don’t need a big group of friends to be great.
Thank a teacher, coach, or friend - Mr.Genthner, I would like to thank him for always being there whenever me or my friends need help and he always listens no matter what. He always made my classes so much fun but also taught us what we needed in a fun and understanding way. I will definitely miss having him as a teacher and seeing him in school every day.

Friday night the Livonia Varsity Track Team completed their annual Night of 1,000 PB&Js community service project. Sandwiches from the event were donated to both The Open Door Mission and Saint Joseph's House of Hospitality in Rochester. Extra peanut butter, jelly, and bread were donated to Sent By Ravens Food Pantry. As part of the event, Chris Scribani from The Open Door Mission spoke to the team. Also, a huge thank you to West's Shurfine, Wegmans, and Leisure's, as well as athletes and their families, for donating supplies for this project. Congrats to all members of the team on continuing to make a difference and help our community!
