🏆 Congratulations to the Livonia Boys Cross Country Team on their Section V Class C Championship! 🏆 Our Bulldogs brought home the title with a powerful score of 59, finishing a remarkable 29 points ahead of the second-place team! With standout performances from Ryan B. (5th, 17:02), Aiden B. (7th, 17:15), and Hunter O. (10th, 17:35), along with Silas M. (14th, 17:44) and Chance W. (24th, 18:08) rounding out the scoring runners, every athlete played a key role. Henry W. (25th) and Tytus J. (34th) also had strong finishes, helping to displace the other teams’ top runners! 💪🐾 The bond and dedication within this group—especially with 5 of the top 7 being seniors—created a "once in a lifetime" team dynamic. They pushed each other daily, running for the Bulldog in front, beside, and behind them. "In coaching, you hear, 'You can’t want it more than they do,' and this season, that NEVER needed to be said," shared the coaching team. "They wanted this win, they wanted this title, and they wanted to earn a trip to States together." 💙🏅 With Assistant Coach Dave Brongo by her side, Head Coach Jenna Williams expressed gratitude for the team’s hard work and chemistry that made this season so memorable. (41st, 24:07) shaved over six minutes off her time this season, while Natalie G. (42nd, 24:08) wrapped up a great freshman season. Senior Alaina T. finished with a lifetime best of 24:54, showcasing her leadership and dedication. Freshman Madelyn M. capped her season with a 3-minute improvement, finishing at 26:57, while Veronica B. demonstrated Bulldog grit, racing a 27:24 despite not feeling her best. This “small but mighty” team formed strong bonds and grew together, with 4 out of 5 girls set to return next year. 🏈 “My Jersey, Your Impact” - Senior Football Edition 🏈 Our Senior Football players had a chance to honor those who’ve inspired them on and off the field on Friday with “My Jersey, Your Impact.” Each senior selected a teacher, coach, or mentor who’s made a difference in their lives and presented them with their game jersey as a symbol of appreciation. 🏅 XC LCAA Counties Recap 🏅 Our Cross Country Bulldogs came out on top Saturday at the LCAA/GRAA Championship meet! The Boys team dominated with 5 out of 7 Division 1 All-Star spots claimed by our runners. 💪 Ryan B. led with a 17:19 finish for 6th overall, followed by Aiden B. (9th, 17:33), Silas M. (14th, 17:54), Hunter O. (20th, 18:02), and Chance W. (22nd, 18:06). Rounding out our top 7 were Henry W. (18:41) and Tytus J. (19:55). Our team showed up strong, with Talon V., Jayden C., Gavin M., Derek M., Evan C., and Matua L. all PRing in their final race of the season! Special shoutout to 8th grader Nathan P., who closed out his first Varsity season despite recent injuries—great job, Nathan! 🏃‍♂️ On the Girls side, Freshman Natalie G. led our Lady Bulldogs, placing 38th with a time of 23:53. Freshman Madelyn M. delivered a stellar performance, PRing by over 2 minutes (25:28) and moving from 4th to 2nd on the team! Alaina T. ran a season best (25:42), and Gianna B. capped off the day with another huge PR, shaving over 2 minutes off her time (25:56)! 🌟 We’re incredibly proud of the growth and team spirit displayed by both our boys and girls. 🏃‍♂️ Cross Country Celebration! 🏃‍♂️ Last Thursday, the Cross Country team gathered to celebrate two of our runners, Tommy C. and Aiden R., with a special fun run! Teammates lined the finish line to cheer them on, and the Boys Soccer team came over to join in the celebration, clapping and showing their support. 🙌 Tommy and Aiden’s hard work and determination have been a bright spot for the team all season. 🏐 Thursday Night Volleyball Recap 🏐 Our Varsity Volleyball team faced off against a tough Hornell squad on Senior Night. The Red Raiders walked away with a 3-0 victory over our Bulldogs. While the night didn’t go our way, Livonia showed resilience, especially in the third set, pushing the score to a close 25-22. Final scores were 25-15, 25-20, and 25-22. Colin U. led the scoring with 4 goals (bringing his season total to 33!). Ryan O. added 2 goals, while Nick C., Lars K., and Nate B. (on his varsity debut!) each added one. Assists came from Brady O.
