🔶🔷 Throwback Thursday – Dave Stewart 🔷🔶
Dave Stewart, Class of 1986, officially retired from Wayland-Cohocton in June 2023, where he was a Special Education teacher. But he didn’t stay retired for long—he started painting for Livonia that summer and joined our Maintenance & Grounds team full-time in the fall.
Here in Livonia, Dave has been coaching JV Girls Basketball since 2014 and Modified Cross Country for the past three years. Before that, he built an incredible coaching résumé at Wayland and Wayland-Cohocton, leading teams in Modified and Varsity Cross Country, Modified Volleyball, five years of Football (including three in Dansville), Modified Girls Basketball, three years of JV Softball, and Varsity Softball since 1994.
Fun fact: Dave didn’t actually fill out his own Throwback info—his wife, Chrissy (who also works here and wishes she was a Livonia grad!), helped with that part. 😂 Even though they don’t work side by side, they do cross paths at school now and then.
Besides those chance run-ins with Chrissy, Dave says what he truly enjoys most is giving back to the same community he and his family grew up in. 💙🧡
And …speaking of Dave's willingness to give back to his community, he once held the unofficial title of August “Employee of the Month,” allowing us to spotlight the news while testing out our new digital sign at the MHS this summer. We’re so proud to have Dave back in Bulldog Country, sharing his talents and Bulldog Pride!
