Dear Livonia Families,

On Friday, October 10, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, along with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies, will be conducting a School Safety Preparedness Exercise at Livonia Elementary School.

✅ This exercise will take place on a Superintendent’s Conference Day—no students are in session.
✅ No students or staff will take part in the exercise.
✅ Families and community members will notice a large law enforcement presence on campus. This is expected and part of the drill.

🚦Campus Access - October 10 (7:00-3:00)

• Entry will be limited to Route 15 (South Livonia Road).
• Puppy Lane will be blocked at Spring Street.
• Bulldog Boulevard will be blocked at Big Tree Street.
• Access will only be available to the Middle-High School building, athletic fields, and the Field House.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this exercise. These preparedness drills are an important way we partner with law enforcement to regularly review and strengthen our safety procedures.

This will be the first of several updates you’ll receive from both Livonia CSD and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with more details as the date approaches.
