“I absolutely love my job here in Livonia! Getting to work in a district that supports and celebrates well-rounded students is something I don’t take for granted. There’s truly something for everyone—sports, art, music, clubs—you name it. It’s awesome to see every student have a chance to find their thing and shine.

But hands down, my favorite part of being a teacher and coach here is the relationships and the community. Since coming back to LCSD in 2020, I’ve felt nothing but support—whether it’s in the classroom or on the lacrosse field. I often tell my students/families that I’m a ‘lifer’ because I am really looking forward to watching my former students thrive as they progress through the district. The connections in this town are next level, and I feel lucky every day to be part of it.

One of the most meaningful parts for me has been getting to work alongside some of the same teachers who once taught and inspired me. They helped shape who I am, and now I get to pay it forward. It’s incredibly special to give back to the same community that helped raise me. I never expected to end up teaching here—but now, I truly can’t imagine being anywhere else!”
