2026 Capital Improvement Project Heads to Voters December 8

Posted Date: 10/06/26 (10:35 AM)

At last night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved placing the District’s proposed 2026 Capital Improvement Project before voters on Tuesday, December 8, 2026.

The project scope was developed based on the recommendation of the District’s Facilities Planning Committee and includes improvements to a number of student-facing spaces in both school buildings. Proposed work includes renovations to art, music, and chorus spaces in the Elementary School; new gymnasium space at the Elementary School; kitchens and cafeterias in both buildings; the Middle/High School auditorium; hallways and instructional/support spaces; along with significant roofing, HVAC, and other building infrastructure work.

The project has been intentionally structured to result in no additional impact to the District’s tax levy from the project. The local share would be funded through available District reserves and debt service funds, with the majority of the project funded through State Building Aid.

The total proposed project is $45.17 million.

Beginning November 16, families and community members can expect a comprehensive project newsletter, videos, FAQs, and additional information about the scope, financing, and timeline. Please be on the lookout for much more information beginning in November.
