Livonia's Ray Maxwell Receives Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award
Livonia Central School District is proud to congratulate recently retired Head Soccer Coach Ray Maxwell on receiving the Major Donald Holleder Lifetime Achievement Award at the Rochester Press-Radio Club's 2026 Celebration of Champions on June 9 at ESL Ballpark.
The Major Donald Holleder Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual whose active life has demonstrated the highest levels of sportsmanship, character, courage, and achievement.
Coach Maxwell was selected in recognition of his extraordinary 41-year coaching career, during which he positively impacted generations of student-athletes both on and off the field. His dedication to the game of soccer, commitment to student success, and unwavering leadership have left a lasting legacy throughout Livonia and Section V athletics.
Throughout his career, Coach Maxwell helped build a tradition of excellence while teaching lessons that extended far beyond wins and losses. His influence can be seen in the countless players, families, and community members whose lives he touched over four decades of service.
Congratulations, Coach Maxwell, on this well-deserved honor and thank you for 41 years of leadership, mentorship, and Bulldog Pride!
